I had a telkom account about 4months ago. I only had it for about 2 months, then i moved, so i canceled the ADSL/Telkom Line. I fully paid off the account when i closed it.
I went to the bank to get a personal loan, they told me that i have a bad payment towards telkom for the amount of lets say R500. I was like "wtf"...
I phoned telkom to ask them if i had an outstanding balance on my account, and then they said that I actually have a Credit or R500, so they ow me that money... So wtf is going on? How does the bank have it that i have a bad payment forwards telkom? Get this, the amount that the bank gave me, and the amount i have Credit at telkom, is exactly the same.
The bank told me that it's not a bad debt on ITC, but a bad payment and should clear after 3 months, but erm, i closed the telkom account 4months ago, so IF i had a bad payment, which i don't, why havent it been cleared? Does anyone know where i can query this? Do i need to phone the people at ITC and ask them whats going on? I already phoned telkom and the person said that i have no bad payments, and that they will send me the cheque for the amount they ow me....
