What time will Ubuntu 9.04 be released?

I swear it didnt say release candidate 5 minutes ago when i checked! some1 is ****ing with my head!
 
If your hardware supports 64bit then use 64bit, if it does not or you're unsure then use 32bit.
 
I had to order a disc from the web, don't have big enough cap for the download. :-(

There was no option to choose between the 32-bit or 64-bit version. I guess they will send me the 32-bit version again like with 8.10. Sigh... :-)
 
I would recommend 32 bit for users that don't have a lot of linux experience that want to use it for gaming or running the latest and greatest. I have been working with linux for years and getting some 32 apps to run in 64 was a mission.

If you are going to install 64 bit, make sure you install the 32 bit compatibility libs before you do anything else.
 
oh ****, i'v already started to download the 64bit version and its like almost finished downloading. How do I install the 32bit compatibility libs? I mean i suppose i can download the 32bit version as well and have both? but my hardware fully supports 64bit, so i'd prefer taking advantage of 64bit

You can:

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

After that look at a tool called getlibs. You launch an executable using it, and it will download and all the needed 32 bit libs. Works like a charm.

For Nvidia users, install the ia32 libs before installing the driver, otherwise the driver will not install the 32bit gl drivers correctly, and 32 bit game binaries will crash (for me it was Unreal Tournament 2004 and World Of Goo).
