Hey guys

I'm a bit in a pickle. Next year I'm starting my own business but I would also like to by myself a new gaming pc which runs in the area of 25k-30k.

The last time I spoiled myself with a gaming Pc was around 2007. Since then I never Upgraded anything.

I would like to know (also with some polls please):erm: would you rather use the 30k as extra in starting your business or buy a pc for the last time and enjoy until the time comes again before actually buying one yourself a few years later... obviously depending on cash flows etc. So the answer is

buy a 30k pc
or invest 30k

Note that the bank already approved the loan for the business, But I just want to make sure. I'm a bit of a "draadsitter" Afrikaans as they say... :D

I'd say spend only 15 on the pc invest the rest.
 
rather invest the money.. if you get a return on the investment, you will have a good business and then 30k later on to spend on a pc...

If you buy a PC now, you will be able to play nicely and all... but you might need other loans to finance your business = expenses = possible doom
 
invest. you need money to make money. put that cash into the business. if all goes well you would reap the benefits
 
50/50 on a pc and investment. 15k buys you a whole lot of stuff, esp if you can find someone to buy from a supplier for you.
 
I'd put it into capital tbh but it all depends on what business you running and the current capital your business has.

Most say the first year is a make/break point for most small business owners so you don't really want to start off with debt unless you are 100% sure you can cover it.

I'd really like to buy a new pc... But on second thought the investment part sounds a lot better... It would really help the business. what a predicament...

Gigabyte Mother Board.
2 gig Ram
160 gig Sata HD
Windows Xp
7600 Gt 256 mb ( can't even run the new demos on pc format).
520watt PSU
CPU Core 2 Duo 6400 2.13 GHZ

Samsung P2350 23" screen HD.

Just stick another 2gb's ram in there and a hd4890.. much cheaper than spending a whopping 30k on a rig
 
Dude, what PC is going to cost you 30K? Just lose the i7 3.3GHz and the 5890 and go for the 5870 and the i7 2.6GHz. Just saved 10K for your business right there...
 
Another thing, you're better off putting a new PC on the company books and claiming the expense.
 
If you're going to start your business off by blowing 30k of your capital on a single PC I dread to think how your books are going to look after a couple of years.
