The day after I bought it the breaks failed for no reason I could fathom, eventually got it to stop in the middle of a very busy intersection, not funny at all.

Got a brand new 2000 Ford Bantam 1600i for my 19th birthday, sadly I wrote it off 4 years later. Technically it was bought as a farm bakkie so after 3 years 50% of its value was reclaimed from tax. Bantams kept their value and the insurance payout was good. Three months later some guy came to fetch the keys since he managed to straighten the chassis and fix up the bakkie.
