90's might be better to grow up in but if we had the internet we have now in the 90's that would of made the 90's a **** load betterI remember clearly that 1 MB of data used to take 5 minutes and 30 seconds to download.
I would download episodes of Naruto, which were about 70 mb or something, and it took 7 hours or something.
Even though everything is nice and instant now.
I still think the 90s were a better time to grow up than now.
Who remembers iBurst. Had that for a while post ADSL between houses when I couldn't get ADSL.
for some it was the only way to get connectivity. I know where I stayed in Boksburg at the time Telkom could not install a line so had to use iBurst as Mobile data was just over pricedPTSD right there, my girlfriend had it and it was a proper headache, expensive too! Reminds me of the old DSTV walka/drifta times.
Yeah, it wasn't great. Got an MTN 3d dongle sometime around then as well, it was far superior. But they always screwed up the data counter , and I ended up with huge bills.PTSD right there, my girlfriend had it and it was a proper headache, expensive too!
