So will be getting a 5% increase next year. With my latest increase, I will still be about R150k p.a. less than what I was earning pre Covid in 2021.
you at the same company ?

The share price is up 68% over the last 12 months and we've hit all our sales targets. Bonuses should be good but our department budget is flat, so I'm guessing another circa 3% increase, unless I get promoted. Ah well, what can you do.

Around 30% higher due to being "promoted". Compared to what I would have earned at this level pre-covid before the bean counting cnuts cut everyone's salaries permanently (except their own): -30%

This is the kakkest part of the year. Everything goes up (medical aid I am looking at you) but the COL adjusted salary only kicks in between March and May (depending on how the unions fight). Will probably be 5 or 6 %.
We get this increase say 4% with best company to work for, how tough are profits blah blah.

Then the next month our medical aid which is company run goes up 15% while every medical aid contribution is based on how much you earn...upto 3x for the same benefits.

Then the month thereafter the CEO and board gets an increase last was 17%.

getting a 14% increase in Jan but I asked for it. This small company working for is a absolute gem to work for where love the work and the people and that has made it very easy to cope.

I took a knock on salary when switched companies, then this year fooked me with the cost of living increases and to just break even again - this increase will help.
Also now that have built up the import department I can start earning comms on projects. It's been a rough 2 years, but made it work with some serious cut backs.

All in all happy that cut out the waste and learnt to appreciate the small things, I just really miss getting a Seattle Cappuccino every now and then.

For the first time since I have been with the company our 2025 increase was announced before the new year.

Increase = 4.4%.
Company mandated medical aid = 10.9% increase.

No doubt the outcome of this poll will determine DailyIdiot's next barrage of posts about Good news or Bad news for the economy.

My guess, it will be both.

Just had the Q1 meeting. Apparently 2024 was good, and the budget has been assigned for bonuses and increases, so fingers crossed when we have THAT 1-2-1 later this month.

I sure hope DailyDisinvestor is a bot run site, because if it isn't, the trash journalism content they post has some explaining to do.

15%
+ a few extra fringe benefits and a better work environment.

Also had to change employers.
