Whats a good freeware IDE for webdesign (PHP etc)?

If you looking for something like a fully fledged IDE, give Eclipse PHP a try. It has a ton of addons/modules available to add to it's already great capabilities. If you're looking for something more simple, perhaps have a look at Komodo Edit, Programmer's Notepad or Notepad++.

I currently use Komodo Edit which has a very simple interface and very basic functionality. It has tabbed editing of multiple documents and syntax syntax highlighting which is all I really need.

I'm using netbeans php, very clean and simple.

I asked a similar question a few days back. Got Netbeans as a result - giving it a try. I also use Aptana Studio (based on Eclipse).

I also started using Netbeans... Pretty powerful IDE in its own right, but I still need to get 100% comfortable with it.

Yeah, this has been asked quite a few times already. I started using netbeans and I just enjoy the interface much more than any of the other ides.
