Picked a nice big cep this morning.
And that became a delicious crispy garlic mushroom and egg .
Dish doesn't look like much but it's very tasty & the texture of this mushroom is incredible.

Nice, wild or home grown?
Wild.
Recent little bit of fog & drizzle over Table Mountain has a few mushrooms popping up.
This was a particularly nice clean meaty one.

Afaik there's a few mushroom gathering trips in Stellenbosch - ever done it?

Made my own scones for the first time. Easier than I thought and tasty!

Savoury cheese scones:
1 cup flour
1 cup grated cheese
1 cup milk (I used yogurt because I thought we didn't have milk)
2 tspns baking powder
salt to taste
I added some cayenne pepper and leftover shredded chicken as well.
Mix, spoon in muffin tray and bake at 180c for about 30 minutes
