Bacon, avo and feta burger from Franks burgers & ribs (Blairgowrie). Highly recommend the place.

Silkworms what a throwback wow
Indeed. I forgot a box in my cupboard once after the moths had laid their eggs and two weeks later I had little black things crawling all over my clothes and didn't know what was going on at first. Had to do an emergency search and rescue and then raided our mulberry tree for leaves.

Mulberry jam was another thing we did, really miss it.

Need silkworms and a shoe box
Took me ages to eat mulberries because I always associated them with silkworms and those things have a specific smell when they all camped together in a box.

Chicken burger and chips (yum) and pizza for my son. Discovery Place. Sandton. What a treat. We had to go to the Home Affairs office in Discovery. Tried some of their takeaways. Lovely time with my lad.

These red lentil wraps are great. Just red lentils soaked for 3hrs then blended with a bit of water & salt then fried. I added garlic, cumin and turmeric this time. They go lekker with a curry.

A double whopper with cheese from Burger King. Normally I don't have huge expectations but this was really good. Just the right amount of sauce, flame-grilled patties with tomato and lettuce, topped with gherkins, reminds me of what Steers used to be.

Decided to try a Double Big Boss burger at Hungry Lion which opened recently at our local Shoprite.

Insane value, only paid R40 with their morning special. Similar to KFC, just not as spicy and mine was lacking a bit in sauce. You get a lot of food for the price though. I'm a bit conflicted if I will try them again, maybe I'll ask for extra sauce next time.
