What's for supper III

We've done them already a few nights.
Very nice indeed, but we want to get out of the estate for tonight
If you can hold off for one night (they aren't open on a Monday), can highly recommend the cellar, very good food - might be a a bit posh for the kids though (not sure how old they are)

Port Shepstone way, so a bit of a drive, but very very good, at least when I went there a few years back.,

This time of the year that whole area is a shitshow. Restaurants are packed and overpriced.
There used to be a nice restaurant in Port Edward, haven't been there in years, don't know what its like these days.

Dont forget Bucks farm stall just a few hundred meters left from San Lameer gate. Just for a quick homemade pie for lunch and a real banana milkshake.

OH and then there is Van's Roadhouse in Margate. Now this is not everyone's cup of tea. Bit of the Chevy Boys vibe. But great roadhouse style food at great prices. Kids would probably like it. Dinner or lunch. But thats not a go out for fancy dinner place

But for dinner we normally braai and don't go out in the evening there too much. Wild Coast Sun normally have a few too. Don't know if they still have that Squires. Should still have a buffet too.

We saw them in the San Lameer leaflet and they are perfect for myself and the wife.
Parents already pulled up their noses for the fancy food.
The two older daughters would have been fine but the two 8 year olds are not going to let us enjoy it.

And we can only do tonight out as we have 2 x family dinners planned for the 24th and 25th with the rest of the family in San Lameer.

Hoping to get some advice from the KZN locals for dinner tonight.

We are at San Lameer for holiday and looking for a nice local restaurant for dinner tonight.

4 adults
4 kids

Wife and I was hoping to do some authentic Indian but the parents and kids are full of ****.
So will have to be something more generic and caters for all.

Thanks guys

I'm not a local but I've eaten here a few times while in the area
Good food

You can have your curry and kids can have their pizza

Actually had breakfast there after travelling there for their local park run, pretty decent if I can recall.
It was decent indeed. Might be a bit pricey when you measure value for money in portion sizes. But flavour, service and vibe was in abundance.

Kids had a blast on the lawn outside and only came in when they were eating and drinking.
