What's for supper III

A nice juicy steak. Yes, I did let it rest for a minute or so, but I was hungry and it was cold tonight, so I scoffed it down quickly. Seared some mushrooms, garlic, fresh thyme, and a little salt and pepper in butter and set aside. Made a thick roux in the pan and then added the mushrooms, cream, a splash of red wine, a splash of brandy, some black pepper, some white pepper, a drop of "truffle oil" and a sprinkle of aromat to bring out the flavours.

Where are your veggies?

I'm calling your Mom.

I made twice as much mushroom sauce that I needed which I'll keep aside for burgers, so all my "veggies" went into the sauce. If today wasn't such a long day I would probably have made some creamy spinach and bacon with a side of crispy sweet potatoes strips.

That was his mom.

Lol, I'm a bachelor. :P
