How did this turn out?
Beautifully, basically left it alone all day and when I got to it, they were caramelized. Made it into a caramelized onion and bacon macaroni cheese.
Damn.Thanksgiving dinner with family. Smoked a turkey on the Weber, with a butternut galette, cornbread sausage fennel bake, whipped horseradish potatoes, roasted broccoli and pickled shallots, and pecan brownies

Did that Low Carb Chicken Crust Pizza thing again.
Simple 3-Cheese version this time. Cheddar, Mozzarella and Feta.
It is basically the chicken version of the Meatza.
500g chicken fillets.
1 egg.
About 1/2cup mozzarella.
Spices.
Some almond or coconut flour if the mixture is too wet.
Combine everything in a food processor and go to town on it.
Spread mixture out evenly on a tray lined with baking paper. And bake at 220 for about 20min or until golden brown.
Add pasta sauce, toppings and cheese and pop it back in oven until cheese is as desired.
From the first attempt.
Followed it to the T this time except for making it square this time.
Tomorrow we dine in caramelised heaven!
Or not! Haha.
In all my excitement and the prospect of sweet sweet onions I somehow switched the slow cooker to high instead of low.
Woke up to a nice smell but the closer you moved to the kitchen, the more bitter and ashy the smell became.
Aargh... Crispy, black and totally useless end result.
Tonight I try again.

Might be it's best to do during the day because you want to check up on it and give it a stir every couple of hours anyway
I'll see if I get the time after work to quickly slice up another batch. Then I can check up on it every now and then as we will be in and out of the house a few times this afternoon and this evening.

Yeah I just lack faith in overnight cooking, unless it's a broth or something that doesn't have a risk of charring
I like too mix it into my other chunky veggies. Also top my caulimash with it.what do you do with the caramelized onions. just eat it as is... or is it in other foods?
I like chopping my onions in kinda bigger chunks, and frying it in olive oil till it's see through... god damn, i'll eat a whole bowl just like that with a spoon![]()
