Stews and stuff are actually the easiest things to make. It's 20 minutes of prep, and then hours of slow cook, and then you end up with something that's just delectable and fills the whole house with the aroma. Cheap meats like chuck and shin, winter vegetables with naturally rich varied tastes like turnip, butternut, onion and parsnip, decent stock and half a bottle of wine are all you need.Yeah exactly. Longer cooks like stews and the likes might be out for same day cooking, but can be made in advance, take very little prep (and actually taste better the next day.)
