What's for supper - Second Course

Yeah exactly. Longer cooks like stews and the likes might be out for same day cooking, but can be made in advance, take very little prep (and actually taste better the next day.)
Stews and stuff are actually the easiest things to make. It's 20 minutes of prep, and then hours of slow cook, and then you end up with something that's just delectable and fills the whole house with the aroma. Cheap meats like chuck and shin, winter vegetables with naturally rich varied tastes like turnip, butternut, onion and parsnip, decent stock and half a bottle of wine are all you need.

I frequently get started on cooking after 6, and need to help with the kids, and often work still in the evening with MSI. I can usually manage to knock out something tasty in an hour. It's also the most therapeutic part of my day. You might not have the time to do what randhir does but it's still not an excuse.

dude what he does takes time. cant do that after 6. that whats I want to do mostly. anything with fire!!

I don't always post pics. I find cooking therapeutic as well. I need to get my paws on a thermometer. damn pork shoulder is mocking me. lamb neck to be made as well. :(

Weekends? Yeah, BBQ take a long time.

yip. so u know how I feel when I hear we going somewhere. I want to spend quality time with my grill. lol. watched that 'chef' movie and all I can say is damn. not a bad way to spend your days.

Nice! Lose the white bread - it's a nutritional troll that does more harm than good. You cook everything else up from scratch?
Yep everything else was done from scratch with a store bought sauce though.

Look forward to the next one.

Remember - if people can be super nerdy about pc's & spend 2 months researching parts for a build - you can do the same for your biological machine (which is kinda way more important than a car or a pc). Get nerdy about your health. Ok I'll really stfu with the fortune-cookie advice now :).

Please do something about those photos. You've got a Note4 (I think...right?), that has a great camera. Just use decent lighting and take it back a little.

Was a bit in a rush to take pics and post, and only saw later that the mushroom pic is actually a disaster /shamed

Thank you. I definitely shall... especially since I was in hospital for two months with 3 major surgeries on my intestines.

Man I had to learn it the hard way. Everyone on the forum complained about the quality of the pics. Some like PP even gave me private instructions. I still basically suck, but at least the food looks in the photo pretty much like it does on the plate.

But changing from a crappy G2 made a world of difference ;)

Making another deboned stuffed chicken. I think I've got it down to under 10 minutes. Stuffing it with mushrooms, peppers, cheese and some kind of chopped nuts TBD.

how does the chicken taste ...cause i have had stuffed chicken and the taste was not there

i know you probably add herbs and stuff
