I used a hand blender as I don't have a ricer. I believe russets are a very glutinous potato which would account for the glueyness because I couldn't detect anything wrong with the texture using standard pnp tatties.Which version?
I prefer sesame oil to peanut. I go weak at the knees when I smell sesame oil cooking. It's one of the nicest aromas on earth.I didn't see you mention peanut oil anywhere.
Stir Fry has to have peanut oil!!!!
And a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds afterwards.

I've got me some business class action all the way to London tonight. Usually very nice food in our much maligned national carrier. Fingers crossed.
