What's for supper - Second Course

For me it's on a regular plate (normally the same one I spiced the steak on, obviously washed) and wrapped in foil.

No longer than 5 minutes and the foil and ceramic keeps it warm.

My wife being a weirdo drinks the juice from said plate.

They could have at least chopped the heads off, of those animals. I wouldn't want the illusion that the animal is screaming while being grilled over the coals.

To me it looks like it's saying 'AAAAHHH that's the spot, can't wait for someone to eat my delicious flesh'. So you know we all see what we want.

I see lovely golden roasted skin.

Even mentioned in the Interesting Pics thread that I would try them.

Me too, no problem. In my opinion we Westerners are far too squeamish about food. Last weekend I went to a gathering where everyone brought food and one person brought a miso soup with top quality imported Taiwanese seaweed and tofu, and nobody else touched the stuff because it was too weird for them.

Exactly. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.

Wife and I are planning a trip to Thailand in the next few years. I'll be keen on trying a few things from the markets there.

:D Am I right in thinking you frequent the Mowbray Korean shop? I used to love that place when I worked in Mowbray.
Nah. It's actually quite rare that I use any kind of pre-made stuff. The kochujang I bought in Swellendam of all places - there's a kind of eco-village thing out there consisting mostly of Asian people who either make or import it. But beyond that - not much else.

Edit: I have tabasco sauce :p.

She's a keeper.

Word. My fiancee's family went to Thailand and ended up eating at McDonalds a whole lot. I wanted to to karate chop them.

Real easy tonight - pasta mince bake.

Have I ever mentioned that I have a small electric pizza oven?

Well, I have it. The oven has a stone slab at the bottom and an element at the bottom and a grill at the top.

Colleagues love to pop over to my house for a drink or three. As a matter of fact two older female colleagues of mine just left after coming for a couple of glasses of wine. It was their first time at my place and they committed themselves to coming back on Monday (when children and family has left) to visit me again because their are still some things that need saying. Work things.

Point is ... it takes 10 minutes from the word go, to have a substantial snack on the table.

A bag of Doritos or Simba chips is NOT substantial.
