very pretty

how do you make your mushroom sauce?

this was a weird mix

normally just mushrooms, fresh cream and S&P

so earlier for brekkie i had livers, which had cream and sauces (tomato, mayo, peri peri and nandos sauce).

So there was a little left over sauce, so added more cream and mushrooms

and dammit did it come out good

I make my mushrooms as thus:

- Fry mushroom in butter
- Add soften (in the microwave cream cheese )
- Then add a little bit of cream and pepper

fukk me, best mushroom sauce ever

i need to try with cream cheese

yeah i fry the mushrooms as well and add some garlic to it

Cream cheese is an idea.

I've used half yoghurt half cream before Because I forgot to buy more cream and it worked very Lekker so I would imagine the cream cheese is similar.

Would make it thicker too. Hmm now I'm wondering about using creme fraīche...hmm.

I leave the garlic until after I've added the cream otherwise it cooks away too much.

Sometimes add a dash of red wine.

Lamb shank from Lupa on Durban North. Was disappointing but the other meals were fantastic, especially the veal.
