you poor poor woman. why are this?

Cause it's to cold to spend hours outside braaing. Plus for us a braai goes hand in hand with a pool day so until the water warms up enough to swim we don't braai BUT we start swimming at 15 degrees and today the pool at 12 so it's not far off. Can't wait, we are already planning our first braai of the season.

on sunday was the perfect day to braai

there have been lots of awesome braai days during this winter!!

Steak, side salad and an oopsie.
 
We do keto diet but it wasn't mainly because of that.

Love steak, love avo. Had them on the same plate.

Was not keen on making a whole salad so just had the avo on the side.

Okay as a side. Not like on top of the steak or something.
 
It has bacon it has a cherry it was devoured and enjoyed. It's a blerrie Oopsie. My version but a Oopsie none the less but feel free to think of it as a cherry and bacon on a toothpick of that make you feel better

They end up tasting quite different, so I enjoy them both!

A friend makes the wrapped Cherries but with a funny sauce I can't remember now. Love it.
 
LOL. You finally got your chance to use that one.

Yeah figured it would be of come in handy someday, just didn't think I would have to pull it out so soon. gonna save it for all the stuff I freestyle.

Masa burritos with braised short ribs, black bean rice, Mexican crema and guacamole. Pic looks a mess but it was awesome.

One packet of crispy streaky bacon grilled in a oven dish, topped off with three eggs, drained on paper towel and placed on two slices of proper thick brown bread toast.

i just bought it at Food Lovers. I was okay... but not really for me. The curry coleslaw is still the best!


Here is the best Asian slaw salad you have EVER tasted....(this makes a large salad)

Shredded cabbage - I use 2 small red and 2 small green
1 Packet Chicken flavor 2 minute noodles
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
100g slivered almonds
3 spring onions, sliced fine

Remove noodles from packet and break up to separate. Keep back flavouring packet for sauce.
Dry fry the noodles, sunflower seeds and almonds to toast. I do each of them separately as they cook at different times.
Allow to cool.

Place cabbage on a platter and sprinkle onions, nuts, seeds and noodles over.

Sauce:

1/2 Cup red wine vinegar
1 Cup olive oil (or sunflower oil)
1 Cup sugar
Powder from noodles
2 Tblsp soy sauce

Mix all together and throw over salad just before serving.

It looks nice but I'd leave out the powder. Maybe use some pure MSG instead.
