:D Kudos for doing it though. That's dedication.
Hehe nah thats the entire point of cooking and the fun that comes with trying new things. Have a veggie soup in the slow cooker as we speak for tomorrow lunch time.

What kind of show cooker do you have? Been keeping an eye out for a good price.

This one we have is a morphy Richards piece of crap :D Slow cookers are awesome for stews and soups and just general nice lazy cooking. I'm also at the point where I want to invest in a new one so I can't offer any good advice at this point.

What's the lessons? Picture quality aside, that looks fantastic. Beef ribs are a favourite of mine.

Separate the two halfs. Trim the excess film off. Lower and slower temp wise. More spraying more often while cooking.

The taste was great. Should have prepped a salad, like coleslaw. Nice baked roll. Glorious.

Tomorrow the top half will be utilized as well. Wraps most likely. Or quesadilla.

Anybody here regularly cook with turnips?

Any recipes or advice?

I got a bag of turnips for free and I've never eaten it or cooked with it before.

I use them in a beef and veg soup I make.
Basically like potatoes but needs longer cooking time.

The zoom on the pic is to show how amazing it was.

Had sage thyme parmesan chicken with celery mash. So good.
