Here is the best Asian slaw salad you have EVER tasted....(this makes a large salad)
Shredded cabbage - I use 2 small red and 2 small green
1 Packet Chicken flavor 2 minute noodles
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
100g slivered almonds
3 spring onions, sliced fine
Remove noodles from packet and break up to separate. Keep back flavouring packet for sauce.
Dry fry the noodles, sunflower seeds and almonds to toast. I do each of them separately as they cook at different times.
Allow to cool.
Place cabbage on a platter and sprinkle onions, nuts, seeds and noodles over.
Sauce:
1/2 Cup red wine vinegar
1 Cup olive oil (or sunflower oil)
1 Cup sugar
Powder from noodles
2 Tblsp soy sauce
Mix all together and throw over salad just before serving.
