Made those cheesy smoked chicken and jalapeño omelettes again. Left them open this time and popped them under the grill for 2min to get a crispier cheese. Also added feta as they came out of the oven.

Mm looks very nice apoc.

Went to the Lourensford market. I had porchetta tortillas and arancini.

Chicken breast fillets topped with basil pasta sauce, salami, green pepper and then heaps of mozzarella.... Best meal of the week by far.

Served it with a bit of coleslaw.

Will you make it again? Was it nice?

Always see the pics on sites and I do like my eggs.

Will ponder up a keto version of this and try it out some time. Maybe caulirice or shredded cabbage as rice replacement.

It's omurice apoc, not omucaulirice :p

I made it the other day and it seemed really a bit too much effort for the overall taste.

Maybe a more simplified version would be better but I kind of felt there was too much going on.

Also was a bit too dense and therefore a bit too much for me overall.

I used this recipe though.

Had a cheat weekend so the fiancee made a chicken pie.

Dinner tonight is hake fillets. Mine is (very gently) smoked and hers is straight up.

Well I just came back from a Food Jam in Woodstock and I must say it was pretty damn awesome.

Essentially you pay to cook your own food but there's a Master Chef on hand and everything gets cleaned for you as you go which changes the entire way you go about cooking.

They basically give you a recipe for three different dishes with all the ingredients and then full access to the general kitchen.

We had to smoke a Yellow Tail with a glaze and also a vegetable salad with garlic chips, asparagus , green beans and nuts all roasted and concocted in various ways and then sweet potato chips.

You are kind of left to do your own thing and then receive guidance as you go along or when you ask for it, all while dopping furiously of course.

As a cooking type I loved it felt quite impressed when the Master Chef complimented my onion cutting technique.

Sadly my photos are all a blur for some reason.

We did it as a team building thing but I'm sure you could book it for smaller groups.

Now I also need a santoku knife in my life.
