Pancakes stuffed with chicken mushrooms and cream

Bought some tenderised steak... Bliksemed them even thinner and then stuffed it with mushrooms, caramelised onions, garlic and cheese.

Flash fried them just enough for cheese to properly melt.

I really must put bit more effort into side dishes as well. But mixed veggies or broccoli or cauliflower is just so quick and easy and nutritious.

Had an amazing braai last night. Some porterhouse and Worse. Normally we don't do worse as almost all worse gives the wife heartburn, and has gluten in it so my daughter can't partake. Recently found a brilliant butcher near eagle canyon who does proper gluten free worse. It also for whatever reason does not disagree with the wife so one of my favourite meat options is back on the menu!

Delft butcher, thank you!

Found a sirloin roll thing. Dry brined it and reverse seared it. Served with a mushroom sauce.

man that looks disgusting

No it doesn't. Last night someone made a lasagna where the meat was curry flavored and the white sauce literally had no taste, I think it might have been cream. Now that was disgusting.

Some advice if you please?

Making some sweet pumpkin (mashed/puree) tonight for the first time in years.

Do you guys just boil the pumpkin before mashing it up? Or do you think one would get a better flavour profile if you roast the cubes in the oven before mashing them up and adding the cinnamon, nutmeg and sweetener?

Going to have it with steak, caulirice and mushroom sauce.

You will get better flavour if you roast it so that some of the natural sugars will caramalise....
