Butter chicken is usually a more deep dark orange.

That looks like turmeric chicken and not much else.

butter is kinda yellow ...butter chicken is normally yellow

i have eaten different variants ...i ate at a bombay to beirut in durban once which had a reddish orangish sweetish butter chicken which was very good

Nein, there is nothing yellow about Murgh Makhani.


Orange maybe towards red, but never yellow.

Butter doesn't make things yellow, it disappears entirely it's the combination of spices and the tomato base that makes it a dark orange towards red.

And it's usually sweet yes, not spicy.

They sell a more fancy version that comes in a packed with raw spices and required chicken thighs which works very well but is a lot more pricey.

This may or may not have been from one of those bottles, or hand made.
