Sandwich ham, cheese and cherry tomatoes on wholewheat sourdough.

It's leftover night for the kids, and I just couldn't be bothered with anything more fancy for myself. But there are some of life's simple pleasures to be had...

Not even a minute under the grill

Unfortunately the grill is out of commission at the moment. I have a Samsung microwave / convection / grill combo but it’s in for repairs. Waiting for spares to be delivered…

Looking at that it seems like the wife is the simple pleasure...or worst case the sourdough..

And for goodness sakes a family needs an oven...fancy microwaves and airfryers are for young 'uns or retirees..

I don’t disagree with you but my kitchen currently has a dishwasher where the oven should be and given the choice between the two, dishwasher wins every time.

I put ground coffee on my t-bone steak fat. Yummy! Combine with ground chilli spice.... Perfect!

Brewed in french press. I saw a few guys on twatter doing similar, so I thought I'd give it a try. Added some cracked pepper and chilli.

Yeah, it makes sense. Chocolate and chilli work.

This was so good.

I ground freshly roasted coffee beans (local roastery) , Worcestershire, touch of ol' smokey BBQ sauce, some mixed herbs, black pepper and a touch of salt.
