What's for supper?

First attempt at a slow cooker meal.

Ended up with a soup - but a pretty rocking one at least.

My own concoction - pork and bean curry. Decided to go with ingredients we don't usually associate with curry and it turned out awesome...

So pick a cuisine that's out of your comfort zone and people can help...

I often have a problem with choosing side dishes for my mains. Example: tonight I 'd like to make fish - a simply grilled hake with a lemon/butter/parsley sauce ......... but what to serve with it ??

I do grilled veg or asparagus or garlic bread all too often as accompaniments to the fish.

Ratatouille? Potato cakes? Vegetable fritters? A purée of sorts? Pick a new veg you don't often cook like artichoke? Buy some potato starch and flatten pieces of fish with it and then fry them up for fish chips? Salad and make your own interesting vinaigrette? Israeli cous cous with veg and a herb dressing (I love this one)? Bruschetta? Savoury rice dish? Fried rice? Risotto? A pasta, like a mushroom pasta? Stuffed peppers? Whole roasted mushroom variety? Spinach? Caramelised carrots? Tempura cauliflower? Green bean, feta and sesame salad (another favourite)?

I can go on...
