Chillis don't destroy the stomach. Urban myth. In fact they're pretty good for the ph balance...

I think it can only be a problem if you already have ulcers. They don't cause them or anything...other than a sore butt in the morning

If you have ulcers then there's a whole host of food you should avoid. Luckily nowadays we know that ulcers are caused by bacteria and not certain foods. Certainly not chilli.

And if your arse is on fire after eating chilli then it indicates a problem with your digestion that should be checked out. Evidently your digestive tract isn't doing its job properly and actual chilli is finding its way into your stool. So the chill ain't the problem. Poor diet and/or digestive complications are the issue...

Or I just add too much chilli to all my food :D

No sore bum for a while but I usually eat a shyt load of chilli with all my food

Highly unlikely. If it happens all of the time then you have a digestive issue in all likelihood. You'd have to eat so much damn chilli for your digestion to not be able to process it, I'm not even sure if it's possible...

So you never get ring sting :erm:

I mostly eat habanero. I eat at pretty much long intervals so maybe that can cause the ring sting.

I've had it every now and then, but it's very rare. Eating chilli isn't rare for me. So no, ring sting is not common. In all seriousness though, it does indicate that your gut isn't breaking down food 100%...

Probably due to the amount I eat at a time. For example I will eat one sausage with two habaneros or one. That would be lunch for me

You eat one sausage with two habaneros?! That's like self flagellation of the mouth. You literally have no taste...:p

My esophagus wasn't closing properly so I was on Meds for a few months about 5 years ago. It's Ok now but I take it easy and enjoy the flavours instead of killing my taste buds with too much chili. I like a good hot curry once in a while but at Nandos I choose hot and add wild herb peri-peri sauce as I see fit.

At jimmys killer grill and mochachos I choose the hottest cos it still tastes pretty good and I add their hot sauce if necessary. Good flavours there.

Smoked some honey glazed pork ribs in the weber.... I must say, I was impressed.

We also had some mushrooms, baby potatoes and onions that was cooked on the coals while the ribs braaied.

Salad and braaibroodtjies were also awesome :D
