slow cooked sweet & sour chicken


dont know what it is called

chicken breasts marinated overnight in a sweet & sour sauce, then very slowly cooked for about 6 hrs in the sauce & finally roasted for about 15 mins to crisp the skin.
with honey glazed pumpkin
peppered roast potatoes
wild rice
grilled veggies

The beer infused broth ... or broth infused beer is delicious.

My camera makes it look a little pale. The real colour is darker and richer.

Steak rolls with caramelized onions and potato wedges. And trifle for dessert.

Meh this camera just flat out sucks at low light.the 4s was better.

Because, as a single guy, it means that I don't have to cook again the next day ... or sometimes even the day after that ... except if it's chicken. Chicken don't normally last more than two days. Although I have eaten Monday's chicken, Thursday morning with no ill-effects.

All my burgers are nice and big… unless I'm making smash burgers.

That one was just a patty with cheese melted on top. Given it was a first attempt I was more interested in the pretzel bun when I took the photo. :)
