thats why im asking lol ...the meat is red but does it taste like chicken or beef

The meat has a 'gamey' taste if that makes sense. I'm not a big fan but it's a nice change from the norm sometimes. Be careful when cooking it because it is a very lean meat, easy to dry it out.

like chicken or steak or inbetween or completely different

Its more like beef than chicken. I don't remember which I enjoyed more the steaks or the chicken, but 1 of them was very gamey tasting

it is very nice indeed.
woolies had (may still) have a special on ostrich steaks - i had some for dinner two days back.

cook it like you would normally cook your steak
