What's for supper?

I love my homemade version. I add extra lemon or lime juice to make it even more tangy !

If I have to eat it in a coffee shop, then I'd pick the Mugg & Bean version - although the slices are a bit big.
Haven't tried it there yet.

I use Tennis biscuits & butter for the base. I like it tangy, but you can easily overdo the lemon zest. Never thought of lime juice ....

One trick to get the base right is to cook it first, then add the meringue and cook it together. It comes out firmer that way.

I haven't had anything so far and things are not looking good for the rest of the night either. :(

Nope, there is nothing edible in the flat. I need to go shopping tomorrow, but then again I'm already in the red. Pay-day is 2 whole weeks away.
I know the feeling. You know Woolworths are offering a lot of samples? You can wander through the isles and try muffins, cakes, cheeses, biscuits and bits of dried mango. You need to time it right so you miss the lunchtime crowd.:p

Eggs + Fruit (No not in the same dish ) = Cheap and healthy :D

Ag shame Picard, that is sad. You mean you really cannot afford a meal?

I do have a credit card. So next month's salary will be paying for these last two week's meals.

But to eventually break even I'd have to eat bread and eggs or the next two weeks.

Get the white eggs, and also try and remove half of the yolk. And cut down on the salt :p

Mmmm, that was good. I knocked up some home made BBQ chicken wings on skewers, some crispy roast potato wedges and veggies and we washed it down with cider. I can feel my arteries clogging as I sit here.

That's not so unhealthy.

Wife made a balsamic based chicken dish with salads. Very tasty!
