Wish they would upgrade 384. Everything else goes up and yet 384 stays. Even data ;/

I heard 1meg is being upgraded again during the course of the year and 384 is goign to stay as is...

We've all heard that this is being upgraded to that. It took 4 years of rumours for 512 to be upgraded to 1mb. The 384 rumour has been going around since before then, and I can't think why Telkom would want to upgrade 384... it's a moneymaker's paradise.

I write software for Telkom :)

So does half the guys that tipped us off that 384 is going to be changed to 1mb and 512 to 2mb and 1mb to 4mb.... point is, we've learnt to believe it when it actually happens :)

I thought the 384k rumours were mostly people hoping it would be upgraded.

Also during the last cap increase Do1 was left on 1Gig cap again.

So I guess 2mb them? 1.5 would be a bit of a silly number ;)

I think that they should just lower 384kb to 75 rand a month for those who are a bit poorer and make the current 384kb package 1mb. It will work well and many more people will be able to afford internet access.

If you want more speed or data just give telkom a caall and tell them to upgrade your package. Not much effort at all.

Yes but it puts a huge strain on your wallet, not everyone can afford R6, 7, 800 just for internet.

Well I guess it depends on how much value you put on the internet. Internet is one of the very first things I budget for. Pay over a grand for mine.
