How and where to apply for the 25% discount? Is it still available?Do uncapped advanced is R548 do you need simple which is R185 more and also comes with modem and 25% discount on top of it.
If you not going to spend R185+ on calls its pointless.

Sorry for the essay...
Ok, so now I am confused and very frustrated at this whole stupid "choosing an ISP" thing.
What is the best option or cheapest option if you are starting from scratch? (No lines or anything). None of the ISP websites have the full costs listed. With Telkom, do I pay extra for ADSL line rental? Why on earth do I need a voice line? am I seriously going to be paying R166.5 per month for something I don't want/use?
About a year ago I just gave up because I just got frustrated and irritated. Now I feel the same but I want to push through and get everything done now. Is there a real difference between 2 and 4Mbps? I see that the 2Mbps line is good for streaming. Is it worth it to pay extra for the 4Mbps line? Mweb seems cheaper than Telkom or am I reading wrong?
Thanks in advance
The voice line rental pays for upkeep of the copper line.
however, if you do the simple package, you pay 399 and get the adsl and voice installed for free. However, the 10GB's is not going to be sufficient for my needs. do i guess here and say that you are stuck with that offering, and will have to add another ISP for more data?
No, I didn't have to sign a 24 month contract. I went into a Telkom store and it was a one pager that I signed, i asked the guy about the 24 month thing and could I cancel whenever and he said yes, just one month's notice required and you get to keep all the goodies they give you.
Not worth it, its crazy to be in a contract for DSL in this day and age.I went into a Telkom store on Thursday and today and two different people there told me that the Simple bundle is now on a 24 month contract. According to the dude I spoke to today, this changed as of a week or two ago.
Got my first bill and after working it out for a 30 day period it looks like R422 p.m. for the Simple (2mbps) package which was previously R399 pm. Analogue line increase taking its toll on the monthly charge![]()
OK, i'll wait but am not quite sure what you mean? I chekced and it all looks above board except that the overall cost is now R22 per month extra as could be expected due to the analogue line rental increase.Wait a couple of months for the bill to flatten, I got my Telkom simple plus (4Meg) in Jan and I only started to get billed the expected exact R498 after a couple of months. Their billing can be. Just check what items they have charged you for
