What's the latency like?

Currently struggling with a wonderfully congested ADSL exchange which is basically unusable any time after 5pm.

As such I'm looking at alternatives. Fibre would be best but my area isn't covered.

Anyone care to shed some light on what the latency is like using a WiFi service? Specifically for gaming and streaming.
 
I have the exact same problem as you. I went for BitCo as there is no FTTH coverage or expansion plans to my area, even though there is Dark Fibre Africa running 4m outside my house.

From the screenshots some of the current BitCo Clients are posting, latency is half the best I could get on ADSL (5ms vs 13ms). Guys are posting sub 200ms ping to the UK/EU.

Wireless Latency is good and most of them are unshaped. Some are a bit expensive.

What area do you stay? You in Cape Town or Jozi?
