OP says that is not real rice or something is wrong with it.Tastic and Spekko is the same rice!
Spekko was bought by Sasko/Pioneer Foods in the 2000s.
They decided to buy the best quality rice on the market. South Africa does not grow rice, so they have to buy from overseas. And depending on farming conditions, the best available quality changes.
Tastic/Spekko buy from the same sources. If I recall it was Thai rice, but I maybe wrong. I had a conversation with the Rice buyer at least 15 years ago, if not longer.
So what is real rice?OP says that is not real rice or something is wrong with it.
It is the only rice I know.
No idea, I wonder too. OP says I have been eating plastic. So what is real rice?
There is a reason Tastic rhymes with Plastic. No idea, I wonder too. OP says I have been eating plastic.
Op needs to send you pics of real rice and he needs to send me pics of something elseNo idea, I wonder too. OP says I have been eating plastic.
As long as he does not mix us up.Op needs to send you pics of real rice and he needs to send me pics of something elseto prove that he really is from east africa.
Yeah I would be pissed if he sent me pics of small white grains. As long as he does not mix us up.
Everything north of Bloemfontein is Nigeria to us Western Cape people
Did a ladyboy cook you rice back in the Philippines, is that why you liked it so much? The last time I bought and made rice at home was when I came back from being 3 months in the Philippines. Tried a couple of brands and variations and then gave up. OP is correct in saying whatever we have here just taste like plastic.
