Afaik the newer fridges/freezers don't ice up. Well, none of mine has ever. The chest freezer, yes it is iced up and I should look into that.
Yeah, we have never had to defrost ours yet. 18 months in

OK I can't imagine using 3-5W LEDs, let alone at 60% brightness. Maybe it's just my age and eyes, but 9w min for me.
Completely depends on the bulb, cheap LED really aren't great, lacking a lot of the color spectrum, especially in reds.
Older 6W LED's did around 500-600 lumen or so, some up to 700, modern ones are 800+, with 8W used to be 700ish, now they're hitting 1000 lumens. Shouldn't really measure in W for lights, just do lumens.

The current ones I have installed are something like 500 lumens at 3W, and the 8W are 1k lumen, and if you correctly bounce light off of walls instead of from above, it looks a lot better and you won't feel like you need as much light.

I like downlights for stuff like a central dining room (if I can dim it), kitchens, but not e.g. living room, do stuff like get a side lamp for reading, just feels more homely.

Fluctuates between 440-640W during the night I would imagine because of two fridges and and a chest freezer mostly and ceiling fans being on in all the occupied rooms because funnily enough it’s lower in winter.

Temu outdoor solar lights. I got those ones that you put along a walkway and the ones that look like a camera. In total I have about 12 of them outside. Cost less than 600 rand. No cabling needed.

I didn’t trust the IP rating so sealed any potential water entry points with silicone. They have been running fine for the last 1.5 years now. Not even one failure and when I want them to stay on, I just grab my remote and press a button to set it like that.

Garages is the only place I changed the fitting and added the motion sensor holder that takes any bulb.

The other ezisting fittings, I bought 20 light bulbs for 300 rand from guess where, Temu. They also have run the same 1.5 years. They have the motion sensing in built inside so no changing of any fitting.

That adds up to about 250 W. What else? Floodlights outside?

Everything is LED, no flood lights and nothing stays on anyway.

But there’s an enterprise grade network and NAS on 24/7 along with two mini PC clients on permanently.

Fridges take up the rest.

But went back a bit now and the lowest average seems around 350W.

The trouble with lumens is you need to literally test with a meter. There seems to be no standard when it comes to the advertising.
Lumens are a standard, look for "useful luminous flux" for the EU one, forgot what the US one is.
E.g. Ikea's E27 in the EU database:
The newer version of the DB includes R9 color rendering index, which is great as that one is why lots of LEDs just look harsh for people's skin.

It is interesting though that the new Ikea bulbs have a lower R9 at 40, I generally aim for 50 and up, old one used to be 57.

I think a bunch of 500 W+ votes have misunderstood the assignment. Looking for minimum consumption, not average. So what your house consumes 24/7, through the night, and even if you're not at home. Fridges are in, automatic lighting, CCTV, servers etc. are all in, but not aircons, and arguably not geysers or pool pumps. Definitely not ovens.

Our base load is 60-70 W. About half of that is the fridge (a bit higher in summer when the duty cycle is longer). Of the remaining 30 W or so, about two thirds is the Raspberry Pi, router, ONT, camera, and mini UPS. The last 10 W must be TV & PC standby, and that little red neon light on the multiplug.
