By base load I mean the consumption that's always there 24/7.

Easiest to see if you're away for a weekend. Units consumed * 1000 divided by the hours you were away.

Between 170 and 200w day and night, if I exclude the geyser.

Mostly just the fridge kicking in, the heating lamps and pads for the reptile enclosure and various other things on standby like my NAS and outside lights during the nighttime

Do people just not own fridges?

2.2kWh, old fridge from ~2005 that's responsible for around 2.1kWh.
After 2010ish is 1-2kWh, last few years is 500Wh+.

Outside of fridge, around 150Wh (NUC, home assistant green, routers).

EDIT:
Just people reading this, this is total daily usage, not hourly.

I’ve got a large double door fridge with a big drawer freezer underneath, a tall stand alone fridge freezer, and an under counter size wine fridge and my load is about 300W in the wee small hours when we are all asleep.

Same. With fridge on, about 110W. With fridge off, some 60W.
Per hour? 50*24 = 1200.

You need a new fridge
This is over a day, just saw OP said / hours as well, so at 90.
And yes, would like a new fridge, but it's rent, and 24kWh @ 15c EUR / R3 is like R75pm, I'll buy a new fridge in 5 years for a 5 year rent contract...
Yeah, I was being generous. Jono is klapping 500Wh. Maybe his needs a defrost?
Nope, normal usage for old fridges.

I understood baseload to be a snapshot in time when the bare minimum is running. So, watts not watt hours.
