Is 260 bhp the most they could come up with? If that's as high as Opel goes then you can keep that POS, I'd take an R8 V10 convertible which isn't even the top end of a so-called VAG product.

Um, talking about standard production cars on sale around the world. Not some down-under version of a Dutchmanised car. I'm sure someone can f-up an R8 in the same way.

Back to the inferior R8 and HSV GTS, the holden is not only cheaper but it comes very close in terms of 0-100 km/h :

The Audi stops in 34.13m. It's faster in a straight line, and it'll destroy the Holden round a track. Plus it looks 986872356475% better.

BTW Nissan GTR price in UK 70K pounds (The Enhanced GTR Version), South Africa = 1.2mil zar (todays exchange rate is R11.30 to 1 pound) so in the UK the GTR is Under R800 000. How can we be 50% more expensive???

EDIT: Nissan GTR punches well above its weight as well as its price range!!! Has to be the ultimate drivers car for under R1.5m...

Wow .. 9th fastest in semi wet conditions and a stock GTR !!! That speaks volumes! Faster than the Pagani Zonda & Enzo ... Jeesh those are +15mil cars!!!
