Got extended for free again, till end February 2014. My wife as well. Will be going in for the third year now.
Maybe they see that I don't have a CC registered on Google pay....will probably never know.

Don't think they have access to that kind of info. I've got a CC registered and my service continues to be extended. Heck this even included a switch from Symbian to Android.

Update: Still free, Expiration date 07 Feb 2016. Going strong since 2011

This week, completely free...
