A friends WhatsApp has been hacked, happened around 8pm last night.
I am not onsite and have suggested the basics that WhatsApp and Google suggest but got the following from someone onsite.
"Thanks for everyone’s help. I am well aware of all of the above. However, the hacker has attempted to switch her account so many times that she can no longer receive the OTP needed to login to her account."
Has anyone dealt with something like this before?
Its an old lady and they using the account to try scam money out of her friends.

PS I played along and got the bank details but Capitec won't do anything. I will be trying to find out the correct process they should have followed and see if they in breech of anything.
