WhatsApp is working on a dark mode

WhatsApp is developing a new dark mode feature for its Android app and has started implementing the new interface in the latest beta version, WABetaInfo reports.

A beta update for the app released on 26 March and contained the first mentions of the feature. A more recent update now includes more information on the dark mode option.

This year I got Samsung's One UI that comes with dark mode. I fell in love with , I just want every app to have it. Black is beautiful.

Only if your phone has an OLED display I believe, otherwise minimal to no benefit with a LCD.

And you want to avoid actually switching off the pixels as you'll have perceivable lag if the user e.g. scrolls when the pixels turn on. Won't look great.

It is a real, unannounced Whatsapp dark mode. Splash screen on startup "Your Whatsapp version has expired. Upgrade your Whatsapp". There is no new version on Appstore. In other words, all my messages are hidden behind a Whatsapp dark mode.

A little-bit old Apple flagship phone, iOS7. Hardware is still capable daily tasks, Telegram is working fine, and a size is perfect. However the same problem is experiencing our maid with a cheap Samsung phone. Her Whatsapp stopped working a month later.

Whatsapp really do not care of people. It is exclusively dedicated to build Zuckerberg empire, nothing else matter.
