Whatsapp not working?

Hi Guys, just a quick on to find out if anyone is having problems with Whatsapp today? I upgraded to CM7 RC2 this morning, and Whatsapp refused to sign in. Though it was a problem with the rom so went back to Starburst. Still no luck. Even flashed a stock HTC rom, and still...no Whatsapp. Am I the only one?

Its working on my htc desire with Leedroid. Doubt its a rom issue. Gonna be hard to track down, given what you have already tried.

WhatsApp is working fine for me and my friends. Is the other data app's working on your phone? Sounds more like a network issue for you.

Very strange. I tried with a different sim and still not working.

Out of curiosity: How long have you been using Whatsapp?

Maybe around 5 months or so? Left the phone off while charging (and for some peace and quiet) and when I tried again this morning it was working fine. This leads me to believe that there was something amiss with their authentication servers or something along those lines yesterday.

If you a MTN or Cell C client...then it was most likely a network issue.
If you a Vodacom client....it was certainly NOT a network isue

I tried it with both Cell C and Voda, yet neither wanted to go past the init stage. Strange thing was that my contacts could see me, and message me, plus the messages would then show on my notification area. Oh well, guess that its one of those mysteries of life...

Anybody having problems? My whatsapp normal text msg is working fine but I can't send or download stuff like photos.Even with vodacom 3G I cant nor edge

Yep on Vodacom whatsapp is very delayed. It must be their "superior network performance".
