for dual sim phones, is disa the go to app to load the 2nd sims whatsapp?

Oh no, someone pointed out this app called WhatsMonitor on the play store:

WhatsMonitor is a tool to monitor the way your family members are using Whatsapp. This app will tell you how many times, for how long and at what time your child is talking on Whatsapp with up to the second precision. It works even if your kid is not showing his last seen or if he or she blocks you.
All you have to do is enter the phone number of your contact and you can track it's Whatsapp activity.

You will receive a notification every time your loved one is online, so you can see if he or she is chatting with a girlfriend or boyfriend while in school, for example.

WhatsMonitor completely follows the terms and conditions and privacy rules of Whatsapp. All data displayed by WhatsMonitor is information already made public by Whatsapp.

What is stopping someone like your employer monitoring when you use WA? Or anyone monitoring anyone else? I thought you could hide your online status, but apparently not. Creepy!!

All it does is automates what you can currently see on whatsapp -so like you manually check in if every person you speak to is online or currently typing (like looking at the last seen data) - Looks like it can read the data off the Whatsapp app on your phone not reading any server data directly from - So from what i understand if you hide your online status it won't be able to show this.

Part of Zuckers plan to start sending targeted ads in the future? They can't see what you are saying, but they sure do know when and who you are talking to and for how long. And then make it available to everyone who wants to know.

I'm not worried about my boss snooping on me. He is my only contact still using WhatsApp, so it's only conversations between the two of us.

if they can see a users online status even if user has blocked this (as they claim) the whatsapp is exposing something they shouldn't. if its not then they will confirm

Whatsapp always shows a users online status, you can't block it. Even if you have chosen to not show when you were 'last online' it still shows 'online' when you're online.

not if you blocked , sorry should have specified this part

according to whatsapp if you blocked you shouldn't see that

There are a couple of indicators that you may be blocked:

You can no longer see a contact's last seen or online in the chat window.

I think it is bad that WhatsApp can give you the option to not disclose info, no matter how insignificant, and then still make this info available to anyone who wants it. Not dissimilar to how TrueCaller makes your contacts' information available, without their consent, for the world to see. The difference I guess is that, when installing WhatsApp, you agree to the TOS. With Truecaller your information is available just because your name and number are in someone's contacts.

I don't understand how the 2 are similar?
Whatsapp if you don't share your status you can't see others is a fair system IMO

Ok so whatsapp responded they encryption doesn't allow this app to see your status if blocked.

And they added the they don't support the use of 3rd apps
I sure hope they are right. There seems to be a few apps that claim that they can access this info freely from WA. I do hope that this loophole is being closed. I guess I could run the 2 day trial on someone I don't know and see what happens.
