WhatsApp rolling out screenshot blocking

WhatsApp is rolling out screenshot and screen recording blocking for view-once images and videos, WABetaInfo reports.

The new feature is available to WhatsApp testers on the latest Android beta version of the app, with some users reporting they can't screenshot view once images.
 
Think this is a bad idea. I can already see ppl saying all types of inappropriate things in group chats without evidence to prove their misconducted.
 
cant we rather get a block for all unknown whatsapp voice calls ,disapearing messages dont bother me but the voice calls do .
 
Can only think of about 20 ways to get around that! Will totally work, can't wait to be forwarded a phone taking a picture of a phone now...
 
These fcuckers will do anything to throw hurdles in front of people who do not think like them and force them to abide with their Draconian rules, rules which in the end trip them up and hang themselves with their own ropes, that day is coming...dump fcucks
 
This article is worded like WhatsApp has made technological advancements. No, its a feature of the operating systems. Not that I use it but Snapchat has had this for years.

In any case this does does not affect me for two reasons:
1. I avoid opening whatsapp in any case
2. I'm rooted and have no Google services. I can screenshot "secure" apps if I so please.
