WhatsApp to get new contact and QR code features

WhatsApp is working on new QR code-based tools which will allow users to easily share contact info and add contacts, WABetaInfo reports.

While these tools are not yet available on the iOS or Android version of the app, the company has reportedly been working on these new features for weeks, adding improvements in recent updates.

About time,so stupid to currently need to have somebodies number saved in your phone book to add them on whatsapp,even for groups as an admin it's really stupid.Also giving out links to big popular groups tends to attract scammers etc...I'd rather see who I'm adding.

If they could fix a bug which can cause deleting all other phone numbers of the contact when adding a number from Whatsapp, it would be even better.
