WhatsApp voice calling invitations open again

They should just make the final release already, i am now afraid if i flash my phone (want to upgrade to lollipop soon) i will lose the activation and will have to wait for some window period for someone to call me again :mad:

Its linked to your account not your phone.

Nope. I loaded a new rom on my P6 last night and did a factory reset and my WhatsApp just reinstated the calling feature again on its own. I even switched from one phone to the other.
 
Anybody able to gauge/measure how data was consumed during calls (short vs extended).

How are people responding to this feature...does it just have cool factor and interest most likely to fade or do first adopters see benefits already?
