Since I opened the app this morning I have the calling feature, I never received a call.
I have a note 3, app version 2.11.561
I ran updates last night which were interrupted. Whatsapp still says "update" in the play store, so I don't think it was included.

I haven't been following the threads recently so I might be behind the times.

Yeah it seems to be open for all now!

I tried activating on Saturday night, didn't work even after receiving a few successful calls.
This morning, it seems to be working.

i have the call option on whatsapp, i called someone for a few seconds, but i think my airtime got used and not the data.

It looks like WhatsApp voice calling is open, no invite need in version 2.12.19

I have downloaded and installed it, it has the caller tab installed. I could not test it at the time of posting unfortunately.

Being on Cell C (handed in notice to cancel end of May) I can confidently say that when I am on WIFI, making a call through whatsapp connects many seconds quicker than if I were to call the person over the cellular network. While I have tons of minutes to use up, I am defaulting to whatsapp when connected to WIFI because it works so much better!
