An invitation system to WhatsApp calling has opened to Android users

Need WhatsApp version 2.11.561 on Android for the invite to work. While you can receive phone calls on earlier versions, you won't get it activated without version 2.11.561

Why only. 561? It's not official so a little concerned about security issues... will inviting on. 556 work? That version was voice enabled.

No. I tried to activate someone on .560 and while they could receive the phone call, it didn't activate them to make phone calls.

No mention of downgrading elsewhere but I might just to be "official"

yup your cell number
to check your version number, open whatsapp, go to settings then click on help then click on about.

would it matter that I have a USA cell number? I guess it does not matter because it is an international app but would it matter to you personally calling or inviting on a USA number?
