WhatsApp vs BBM vs Skype in SA

Hehe, I also want to know. Maybe he does not know how to set it up.

Ability to use it on devices other than the phone. Like you can with Telegram, Skype and hangouts.

lastly, I want the second tick on the message to show when the other person reads the message, not when he receives it.

whatsapp can be used on your laptop/pc

I like the simplicity of Whatsapp. The only problem I have is that is not always instant.Sometimes it takes 10 or 20 minutes for a message to get through.

Are you on iPhone by any chance? The only people I know who have WhatsApp issues are iPhone users.

Even for people with BlackBerries, why would you use BBM? I'm unfortunate enough to still be stuck on a BB until my next upgrade, but I can't remember the last time I opened BBM.

I'm not talking about Hangouts on iOS, I'm just talking about Hangouts vs. iMessage separately on their respective native platforms.

I'm saying that it seems that Google has copied iMessage very nicely for Android with Hangouts.

Oh right. Thet makes more sense.

Imessage is awesome with iOS 8 and Yosemite.

Guess Hangouts will do much the same eventually.

Is there another way other than using virtualization like Bluestacks?

Even then it's not ideal as you can't seem to have it on your phone and bluestack at the same time, it complains about being on two devices and request you remove it from one if I remember correctly.

I installed BBM on my phone and found that only 3 contacts of the hundreds of contacts, have BBM installed and working!
What I would like to know is: Which IM is more secure and with which one can who else read my message?

Telegram is the most secure I think.

I see nobody is talking about Skype, take it Skype is not the app of choice anymore.

Personally still stuck on it as I have many x clients and some family who still use it as their main IM app so have to keep it going for that reason.

For other IM I use Wickr, love it as there is nobody on the platform so its always peaceful and quiet... :D
