Wheel Clamp

I park my car at a station and take the train into the CBD. Now we all thought the parking place was safe BUT on the 3 January 2011 my friends car was stolen. After lots of thought we both came up with a plan. WHEEL CLAMPS now if we put a wheel clamp on the car like they do at the malls for illegal parking that car is going NOWHERE NOWHERE !

Now I know this not a original plan :D but we have hit a snag. We don't know where to buy the freaking thing.


Any ideas? :confused:
 
They will just pinch the three wheels that aren't clamped :D
There was an oldish BM that broke down on the N2 a few weeks ago, the next day most of it had been stripped.
 
Can you remove a tyre from your car that has a wheel clamp on it?

Yes, you deflate it, remove the clamp, drive slow/freewheel to a petrol station and pump it back up.

...I'm just saying... :)
 
No matter how much we try to protect our property, there's just no way at all to stop thieves. They just leave us with deeper holes in our pockets.

I have always thought, if my tyre gets clamped and they stick that stupid note saying i owe them money, I change tyre, and leave a note saying they can get clamp back for R500
 
Clamp storage fee :) Must put a sticker on the clamp to say its electrified, see how many take the chance.

tried it...they block the nuts so you can't take it off...

also what would it help to deflate the tires? they put it through the mags? some of them...
 
Dont think it will work.
If a thief wants your car, he/she will get it.
They usually have all the tools and know all the tricks in order to steal your car.
 
Well thanks for all the help and advice. The purpose of the wheel clamp is to make it even MORE difficult to steal the car. No matter what we do they will find a way to steal our property all we can so is make it difficult.
 
It will be an awesome deterrent.
Dont listen to these guys and their "if they want it they will take it" BS.

Thieves only go for easy targets, we not living in the movies.
