Signed-up last month on the 12th and still have not got a bill. When do we get our bills? I tried calling 183 but nobody picks up the phone! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
I signed up beginning of July, still no bill as well :(. 1st debit order came off on the 31/8/2011 though.

I'd like to know as well as I have not received any statements via email or post.
 
Just gave them a call and they said I will be charged R748.00

1) Sim and connection - R200.
2) i5 Promo with Night Package - R299 x 2 months.

So I guess my accounts are in-order :p
 
Mine came end of August to my home address? BIG Envelope at a length of about 58 pages (Itemized Billing) Its a waist of paper i think..... Also R700 odd
 
I signed up for the i5 promo on 20 July, got my bill (just 2 pages, not itemised) for 1 August 2011 to 31 August 2011 on the last week of August, debit order came off on the 1st September 2011. All was in order.

Nope, it just came like that. I was expecting a big envelope as well after seeing that people have received plenty of pages and I received a small DL envelope with just 2 pages inside. It was basically an invoice and a statement. I have emailed them to request my bill to be emailed rather then posted and they have replied to my email in under an hour to confirm that they will from now email me the bill instead of post. Their service is currently very efficient.
 
Just got my bill for 02 Sept - 30 Sept 2011 this morning via email...
 
Just called them again, they apparently charged me over R2000 for my account... LOL! I have 1 account, they said they discounted R1400. I was SHOCKED to hear what he was saying. He said it is a printing error and he sent it to the billing department to get it fixed. I swear if I get a bill over R299 (night package add-on), I will cancel my debit order. Unbelievable to be honest.

Is it your first month? Remember that billing is pro-rata, so you might expect a higher bill than for just one month. His R2000 discounted R1400 leaves you with R600, which is two months' bill. That does sound about right.
 
We are a reseller of 8ta... and we are meant to get commissions.. havent seen anything. Whoever is running things is doing a terrible job.

R843 was the final ammount.

R400 sim and conenction
R148 for Midnight
R199 for Day bundle

Sim and connection is meant to be R200.
Midnight is meant to be R100.
Day bundle is correct R199

However, R100 is not pro-rata, R199 is not pro-rata either.

And where does the R1400 discount come from?

EDIT: the other R103 (so R850), is VAT.
 
It does sound as though you'll have to query your account.

i5 is a promo package. My bill showed a large total amount (probably normal price) with a large discount to get to the i5 pricing. I don't have midnight surfer, so mine was pretty simple.

yeah my discount was also R1400 which shocked me to hell and back. The only amount which is crazy is r400 for sim and connection which is supposed to be R200. If we minus R200 from R848.00, it would leave R648. So basically R200 sim and connection, R199 for i5 and R148 for midnight. So it comes to R547.00. Subtract the surcharge tax on R400 and it should come a bit less that R648.

The only thing which shocked me so bad was the discount amount...

Could you please just clarify though about the discount amount. That's the only thing which is bothering me. The R400 is a mistake on their side and I know what they did wrong. But just the R1400 discount thing needs some clarification. I was hoping you have an answer, 8ta Rep.

The i5 is a promotion, the standard price is the price before discount, but since you took out the contract during the promotional period, you qualify for the discount every month for the 24 month period.

Basically, the Internet 5 is R950.00 (without the midnight surfer)
Discount due to promo is R751.00
Monthly fee is therefore R950 - R751 = R199.00
