Try to. But a lot of the stops signs and street makings have disappeared so it's not always clear if you must stop or where to stop. I always slow down at an intersection, even at a traffic light if it is green, we live in a lawless country and can expect someone to speed run a red light or intersection. If everyone just slowed down a bit, even if they don't stop dead, things will already be much better.

Me: Always.

And being in a shopping mall parking area DOES NOT ABSOLVE YOU FROM OBEYING THE STOP SIGNS!*

*Specifically applies to those lazy ****ers that MUST park as close to the entrance as possible, even when the only available bays are reserved for disabled parking! Their brains must be disabled, so it is probably better that they rather park there.
In South Africa parking lots are there to see how fast you can pass someone trying to drive out of their parking bay.

I've been hit twice by drivers not slowing down at all at 4-way stops. Each time the other driver tried to blame me

The dashcam showed that I had stopped and then entered the intersection before the other car reached the stop street line.

As far as the insurance co was concerned, this shifted the responsibility entirely on the other driver. A civil suit for a new car was settled out of court (my Honda CRV was 2-weeks old at the time)

Necro.

I'm getting tired of being hooted at in the larney neighbourhood for rolling through their 4-way stops. Yes, I saw you. But you were 4 metres away, and I was 2 metres away, and we were approaching at the same speed, so it was going to be my right of way anyway.

Did you want me to come to a full stop, just so that you could also come to a full stop, so that you could give me the nod, and I could give you a wave, and only then I could go on my merry way? Spare me, Karen.

Don't make like you haven't treated the rules of the road as guidelines yourself. I know you've overtaken across a solid line, or merged through one, or passed on the left, or crossed an intersection on an orange when you could have safely stopped, or stopped on a red line, or in a yellow box. You probably did all of those this morning. But I must follow the rules in your hood? tsek!

Eeish baba, when did you start the taxi driver job?
Your qualifications speak for themselves but just remember red light just changed equals still free to go for 5 seconds and solid line means don't look before over taking.

Full (Non-K53) stop at intersections I know to be busy or if I am unfamiliar with them.

At the quite intersections I am familiar with in my neighbourhood, I more or less treat them as yield signs, but will stop if I see other cars.

Everyone knows the roads belongs to blacked out BMWs with 10 armed people inside of them ready to kill anyone they think did anything bad. The ****ed up part is they did it on camera and still got away with it

It is hard for people to stop at a redlight. I got hit hard at a stop by a truck that figured a redlight was just a suggestion. My car was totaled. Did anyone give a ****? nope...

If I recall correctly the people on the receiving end of those kicks were military personnel in an unmarked car.
The matter was being "investigated" but the story went silent shortly afterwards.

same to, I met the cousin's of the VIP drivers, with the Taxi Geniuses,
drove through a red light, totaling my car,

at least I wasn't on a bike, that wouldn't have been better.

Like I said it is easy to talk about stuff until we become a statistic. This cost me my car, I don't have a lot of money and did anyone care? No, they just billed me for towing my car to a place where they can get the parts that was still usable and I got ZERO for it. That is how life works. But today I will have another BMW or Ford up my ass trying to push me of the road for keeping the ****ing speed limit.

I was really lucky, had full insurance, although was under 25 at the time so they nailed us with the young driver excess.
